Iran has said it does not want conflict, but has promised to protect the people and national security. He also called on the UNSC to force the US to stop its “illegal” activities.

Iran on Friday organized an event to mark 10 days of remembrance for Soleimani and Iraqi leader Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, deputy commander of Iranian forces attached to Iran, who was in the car with Soleimani when a U.S. drone strike struck.

Several senior officials from authorities and agencies from Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria and Yemen provided addresses at the event.

Iran’s judicial chief Ebrahim Raisi renewed the country’s promise of “harsh revenge” for Soleimani’s death, saying Trump should not believe he would be saved because he is the president.
“The hand of divine revenge is certain and this revenge will be executed,” Raisi said, adding that expelling the U.S. from the area will be only one of its sides.
“Those who were involved in this murder and the crime will have no security and safety anywhere on Earth.”
On Wednesday, both Raisi and critics of the powerful constitutional scrutiny body, the Council of the Guardians, said Iran was legally continuing to follow Trump after his presidency ended Jan. 20.
Iran had issued an arrest warrant for Trump and dozens of others in June last year, a request that was subsequently rejected by Interpol because the group’s constitution does not allow it to intervene. their political affairs.
After the head of Quds Force Qaani attended a parliamentary session on Wednesday, the house introduced a new motion, called “A Plan of Bilateral Action Against the US, Soleimani’s main assassin’s representative”.
