Renewed talks over the accusation of Trump and other U.S. officials come as part of Iran’s promises to avenge Soleimani a year after his assassination in an American drone strike in Iraq.

At a ceremony in Tehran to mark the anniversary of Soleimani’s assassination, the head of judges Ebrahim Raisi said Trump was the main target of prosecution and should not be defensive because of his political status.
“Fortunately, Trump’s leadership has come to an end. But even if his term had not expired, it would not be appropriate to say that someone should not be held accountable for the law because of his administrative role, ”he said.
