Reports that the subsidiary (100%) Kandok has carried out its first commercial export of its products to Tillery in Portugal, and these will be marketed through the latter’s global distribution network.
The products will be marketed under the joint brand Tillery and Kandok in the EU-GMP standard. This is the first commercial export of medical cannabis to Europe, Israel’s main target market for GMP cannabis exports. The shipment was received in Portugal after receiving the required permits and permits there and in Israel.
Tilray’s global distribution and sales network numbers about 15 countries, including Germany. Kandok participates in the Ministry of Health’s pilot for the export of medical cannabis products from Israel. The company promotes business activities in countries with supportive regulation both directly and through strategic collaborations with leading companies in the world, with the exception of Tillrey, which is Organigram, Aphria and Charlotte’s Web. The export of the finished products as part of the first commercial export was carried out as part of Kandok’s cooperation with Panaxia.
In the background, Bloomberg reported based on an unofficial source that Tillery and Ephraim are expected to merge and create the world’s largest cannabis company. An official announcement on the matter will probably be made in the coming days.
