Intel Z590 - B560 and H510 chipset for motherboard specifications

With all that Rocket Lake processor is waiting for in the processor pipeline, we already know that the standard Z490 motherboards will support the new processors, but wait, Dave, there is more there.

In fact, Rocket Lake will open PCIe Gen 4.0 to the ultimate infrastructure. And Z490 would / could be compatible, but with Intel ‘s knowledge, it wont be because they are keen to release new chipsets to boost their sales. So new motherboards based on Z590, B560, and H510 chipsets are in, nothing new, of course, but they have not been tested at all. Well, they come as the new logos were released at videocardz.

Rocket Lake-S (the desktop components) is expected to provide 4 additional PCIe blades, which can be used for direct CPU storage <> NAND NVMe PCIe 4.0. Both the Z590 and B560 chipsets support PCIe 4.0 x16 for a separate GPU, something AMD has been offering for two years already.

We are definitely interested in Rocket Lake-S; however, the 500-row motherboards won’t be around for long. Later this year, Intel will announce Alder Lake, which is set to feature an LGA1700 socket. Rocket Lake is like LGA1200 ergo, and the boards will not be compatible.
