Indonesia has Administered 2.6 Million doses of Covid-19 vaccine

Jakarta. Indonesian health authorities have dispensed 2.6 million doses of coronavirus vaccine since a major vaccination campaign began on Jan. 13, according to government figures released Saturday.

“We are targeting an additional 38 million citizens in this second phase, meaning 76 million doses of the vaccine,” Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin told Antara news agency Saturday.

He said the government expected the current vaccination campaign aimed at former citizens and public sector workers to be completed by the end of June, before it could go to priority groups. other.

Indonesia has added 6,208 coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases to 1.33 million. Saturday’s figure is the lowest daily count since Dec. 29.

The total number of active cases is 157,039.
