IndiGo, the largest airline in India, said that some of their data servers were broken in a hockey incident in December, which could damage some data.

“It is possible that some internal documents could be uploaded by the hackers on public websites and platforms,” IndiGo said in a statement Thursday. “Yes understand the seriousness of the case, and continue to liaise with the appropriate experts and law enforcement to ensure that the incident is thoroughly investigated. ”

The settlement comes just like the airline, operated by InterGlobe Aviation Ltd., could slowly start re-hiring staff. Domestic services may return to pre-pandemic levels by January or February as capacity recovers from a “meat backdrop” caused by Covid-19, Chief Executive Ronojoy Dutta said in an interview by Bloomberg Television in December.

InterGlobe Aviation shares slipped as much as 1.8% to 10m in Mumbai on Friday while the token index rose 0.3%.

IndiGo, which has some Airbus SE A320neo 730 aircraft on order, postponed about 10% of its staff due to slowdown by pandemic. The carrier announced in August a sale of shares to raise up to 40 billion rupees ($ 547 million) and is not looking to raise more money. IndiGo’s strategy remains focused on reducing costs and accelerating the growth of its activity, Dutta said in the interview.
