In Washington, Danny Abdia’s defense was complimented: “Learn fast”

The Washington Wizards suffered their fourth loss tonight (Tuesday-Wednesday) from four games since the season opener, this time 115: 107 to Chicago at home. Danny Abdia played 26 minutes and finished with 9 points (3 of 6 from the field), 4 rebounds, 4 assists, two steals, a block and a loss.

The media in the United States complimented Danny Abdia mostly on his defensive ability tonight. Fred Katz of Athletic wrote: “Kobe White went on a losing streak a few moves before the basket. The second time he tried the same move, Danny closed it out completely and made him lose the ball. He learns fast.”

Quinton Mayo of NBC tweeted: “Danny Abdia is going to be a good NBA player for a very long time,” adding, “He has the potential to become a legitimate one – on – one guard in the league.”

But aside from Danny, Washington is reporting a tough atmosphere after the team failed to achieve a debut win this season. Wizards star Bradley Bill declined to speak to reporters, but Russell Westbrook said after the game: “It’s a difficult moment, but we have to understand it, especially me. I hate to lose, very, very much. But as a leader, you can not just lead things going well. “You have to lead even if things don’t work out.”

Coach Scott Brooks said at the end: “No one is happy, but we will do what it takes to solve the problems. I believe in this bunch.”

Davis Bartans, who scored 20 points tonight, answered reporters’ questions about a lengthy meeting of players in the locker room after the game: “What was said in the locker room remains in the locker room. I can tell you one thing: the only way out of this situation is together as a team.”
