Italian football this season provides a host of fascinating games and one such opened the 25th round. Sesotho and Napoli parted ways in an exciting 3-3 with two goals in the closing minutes, which prevented bottom line Gennaro Gattuso and his team from qualifying for fourth place.
Already after 22 minutes Lorenzo Insigne’s goal was disqualified after a VAR check. Sesotho took the lead thanks to an own goal by Nenad Maksimovic in the 34th minute, Piotr Zilinski equalized four minutes later but Domenico Bardi gave the Blacks a 1-2 a minute into extra time of the first half.
The surprising delay and the disqualified goal did not break Insignia’s spirit. Captain Napoli provided cooking for Giovanni di Lorenzo and in the 90th minute also completed a makeover with a penalty, but the finish belonged to Sesotho. Five minutes into overtime Francesco Caputo took the lead from the penalty spot and scored.
Success of everything in the final. 💥
