In all those cities – more than half of the residents were vaccinated in two doses.

In Jerusalem, the largest city in Israel, the vaccination rate in two doses is 30.13%, but it is low due to the city’s young population. It should be mentioned that at this stage it was decided not to vaccinate children, but they are considered as a whole. In Tel Aviv and Haifa, we were vaccinated by more than 50%.

The data show that 96.2% of Israelis aged 90 and over received the first dose of vaccine, as did 93.6% of Israelis in their 80s and 96.4% of those aged 70 to 79. In those age groups, the rate of vaccinators in the second dose was about 90%.

Although they started the vaccination campaign with the older ones, the rate of vaccinators aged 60 to 69 is the lowest among those who were vaccinated first. Only 87.9% of Israelis in their 60s received the two vaccine doses. Among Israelis aged 50 to 59, who were given the opportunity to be vaccinated only a few weeks later, the vaccination rate is similar – 87.3% in the first dose.

Among those aged 40 to 49, the immunization rate in the first dose is 82.8% and among those aged 30 to 39 – 77.5%. Data from the Ministry of Health also show that 70.9% of those aged 20 to 29 have already received the first dose of vaccine, and half of Israelis at this age have also received the second dose of the vaccine.

51% of 16- to 19-year-olds received the first dose of the vaccine. 225,000 Israelis at this age have not yet been vaccinated. For comparison, 250,000 Israelis aged 50 and over have not yet been vaccinated. This is a group with more than 4 residents from the ages of 16 to 19.
