Impressive victory for Katsch and Panathinaikos in the Euroleague

Oded Katash achieved a second Euroleague victory with Panathinaikos – 72:91 over Valencia at home. The Greens recovered from the loss to Real Madrid in the previous round and inflicted on Valencia a third consecutive loss at the factory. The Spanish team begins to lose height in the battle for a ticket to the quarterfinals.

The host led throughout the game and went down to the half with a promising advantage (34:48), which it did not drop until the end. Valencia were unable to get close to the Greek team that eventually won easily 72:91. Nemanja Nedovic led Pau with 16 points, Arun White scored 12, Mitroglou finished with 11 and Yannis Petro scored 9. Kalman Perplich finished with 20 points on the other side. In the next round waiting to cheer Katsch derby against Olympiacos.

Earlier tonight, Bayern Munich surprised with a 66:69 lead over CSKA Moscow away. Although the Russians led by ten points at the end of the third quarter (50:60), the German team managed to stop the host on just six points throughout the fourth quarter and win. Wade Baldwin Scored 22 for the winner, DJ Seeley added 17, Jaylen Reynolds finished with 16. Nikola Milutinov scored 16 for the loser, 14 of them in the first quarter.

Real Madrid defeated Alba Berlin away – 63:72. Fabian Kozer led the Blancos with 13 points and five assists. Carlos Allussen scored 12, Eddie Tavares finished with 9 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks. Alex Tios played 8 minutes and did not score.
