Immunists in the country reported circumcision in the mouth

In the committee that prioritizes vaccines, they turned to the global Pfizer company and asked for clarification on one of the side effects reported in Israel, which includes circumcision in the oral area.

By the middle of the week, 19 people had been reported to have suffered from this phenomenon, but it is estimated that since the mid-week report there may have been dozens more who suffered from it.

Until a few days ago, 652 people were reported to have mild side effects including pain, weakness, dizziness and also local symptoms like pain or limitation of movement or neurological symptoms like blurred vision.

The phenomenon that bothered the experts from Israel was not reported as one of the side effects in Pfizer’s study, so it was clarified that the company eventually reported that other countries also reported the phenomenon, that no special treatment is needed and that the vaccinators can get the second dose.

“These are people who reported a feeling of circumcision ranging from a few minutes to a few hours. I estimate that since the report was given, the number has risen to about 100 people,” explains Dr. Tal Brosh, director of the Infectious Diseases Unit at Assuta Ashdod.

According to Dr. Brosh, “We contacted Pfizer and they said they agree that no special treatment is needed and that this phenomenon does not preclude the administration of a second vaccine dose.”
