The IDF said in a statement that after reviewing the situation on the ground, additional troops would be deployed to the area to provide greater protection for towns and to ensure the safety of main roads in the West Bank.
The IDF said it was also blocking homepages for some of its forces on Tuesday and until Friday when the decision would be reconsidered.

In the aftermath of the fatal crash in which 17-year-old Ahuvya Sandak was killed, protests erupted in several locations on the West Bank where settlers laid stones at security forces.
Palestinian vehicles were also damaged near the city of Hebron and in the north West Bank causing injuries in at least one incident.

In an incident earlier last Saturday, a Palestinian man attacked a fire of an IDF soldier from the Golani Brigade. The soldier, who was not injured, did not respond to the attack and Palestine was recaptured.

The soldier was fired from his unit for what the military considered an inappropriate response to an immediate threat.
