“An Arab came to me slowly. I didn’t understand what he wanted, and when he was a meter away he pulled out a knife,” Cohen said.

“I started screaming, going a little cunning. I kicked the air and saw that it jumped so I ran away and called the police immediately,” he said.

CTTV footage from the attack site shows Cohen waiting for a man stabbing a knife at close quarters before fleeing to escape his attacker.

The commander of the IDF Samaria Regional Brigade, Col. Roi Zweig, he reached the site of the alleged attack, along with members of the Shin Bet security service who were there to question Cohen about the incident.

The IDF began surveying the nearby town of Huwara in Palestine.

The area has been a site of tension between city dwellers and Yitzhar settlers.
