Yesterday Apple released a new version of iCloud for Windows 10, and based on several reports and release notes of the update, it appears that Apple is introducing an iCloud password extension designed for Chrome , which allows the use of iCloud Keychain passwords on Windows devices.

As indicated by The 8-Bit and a few other sources, the update supports the “iCloud Passwords Chrome” extension. After installing version 12 of iCloud for Windows, the app has a new “Passwords” section with the logo ICloud Keychain.
When you try to use the feature, however, the iCloud app encourages users to download a Chrome extension, but the extension is broken and a click to install leads to a broken web page.
This appears to be a bug that will be dealt with soon, and it seems that once activated, Windows users will be able to access their iCloud Keychain passwords on the devices Windows through the Chrome browser. It’s unclear whether Apple will offer this extension for Mac devices in the future as well, and it looks like it’s limited to Windows at this point.
