I’m a celebrity … Get me out of here! the audience went out on a ‘dangerous’ and ‘ruthless’ challenge in Thursday night’s program.

Jack Vidgen, Grant Denyer, Pettifleur Berenger and Travis Varcoe were asked to pump levers at the bottom of a tank full of ice cold water, to earn points for their teams.

After the challenge saw the stars wrapped in emergency blankets to prevent hypothermia, with Jack admitting he thought he would pass, fans of the show blamed representatives for going before long on social media.

‘This was such a dangerous challenge! Who thought of that? All the pain for seven stars ?? one angry viewer posted on Twitter.

‘Won’t we do that challenge next year, huh? That was dangerous and cruel, ‘said another.

He was not long into the challenge when the four began to shake uncontrollably and scream out in pain.

‘It hurts. It’s hard to breathe, Grant shouted, as his whole situation was turning red with cold.

Travis also gasped for air as he shouted, ‘oh my God,’ while Pettifleur moved and moaned in pain.

Jack seemed to be the main culprit of the tragic problem, with medical staff seen comforting the pop star after the challenge.

Wrapped in a space blanket to prevent him from getting hypothermia, Jack revealed a shock that he was in such excruciating pain.

‘Coming out of the water after that, I literally thought I was passing,’ he then said in a piece to a camera.
