South African astronaut Dale Steyn expressed his delight at the “mid-life crisis” statement made by cricket reporter Simon Doull over his hairstyle during the Pakistan Super League fight between Quetta Gladiators against Peshawar Zalmi. This happened while Steyn was sitting in the dressing room, with the cameras entering.

Speaking of Steyn’s long hair, Doull was heard quoting: “A little middle-aged crisis with that hair.”

Miffed by the comments, Steyn took to Twitter and asked: “Question What reporter said I have a mid-life crisis?”

In another tweet, Steyn also said that reporters should focus on their works, rather than using broadcast time to comment on the personal lifestyle or background of players.

“If your job is to talk about the game, do so. But if you use that broadcast time to abuse anyone for their weight, sexual preferences, racial background, lifestyle etc. or even hair styles, I’m afraid I don’t have time for you as a person. You and anyone else like that have to be fair, “Styen wrote.

“That’s what I have to say. Last night was a great time, great to play in front of a crowd again, cricket is so much better that way.

“We just lost hope of pulling it together in our remaining games. Thanx for the support. Good weekend everyone,” he added.

Peshawar Zalmi managed to chase down a total of 199 to defeat the Gladiators with 3 wikis with 3 members remaining. Zalmi is currently placed at the top of the table with 6 points in 4 games.
