“I do not know”: transcripts of Ben Ari’s interrogation

Tonight (Thursday), Channel 20 published documentation from the investigation of the Deputy State Attorney for Economic Enforcement and the Tel Aviv District Attorney, Adv. Liat Ben-Ari, regarding the construction offenses of which she is allegedly suspected. Because the three words that Adv. Ben-Ari repeated no less than 32 times are: “I have no idea.”

On November 5, 2020, Adv. Ben-Ari appeared in the Rosh HaAyin Municipality for an investigation into a matter that lasted more than two hours. According to the suspicion, Ben Ari split the apartment without a permit.
Investigator: “Who are the registered owners in the taboo style?”

Ben Ari: “I have no idea.”

Interrogator: “Are you aware that you are mentioned in a taboo style?”

Ben Ari: “I know that I am in a warning note in the wording of the taboo for the purpose of the mortgage and the purchase of the house.”

Investigator: “When did you purchase the property on Alof Harav Goren Street?”

Ben Ari: “I do not know how to say the date.”

Investigator: “When was the property delivered to you?”

Ben Ari: “I do not know.”

Investigator: “Who actually uses the property?”

Ben Ari: “There is a last name, I do not know who. I have no connection with them.”

Researcher: “How can you not be involved in the details of buying a real estate property?”

Ben Ari: “I have a partner and he is involved in details, I am busy.”

Investigator: “Are you not aware of the construction irregularities?”

Ben Ari: “Not aware and not knowing.”
