I Care A Lot review collection: Rosamund Pike-starrer’s dark comedy ‘gripping and unpredictable’

Rosamund Pike-starrer’s dark comedy film I Care A Lot airs on Netflix on Friday. The film is written and directed by J Blakeson.

Rosamund Pike over the years has featured some amazing acting chops in a number of challenging roles such as Gone Girl, A Private War and Radioactive. I Care A Lot also has her amazing talent. And according to the reviews, her efforts have paid off.

She plays the role of a “crooked legal defender” who steals the money of old clients who have a duty to care. Eventually she meets a woman who seems to be her game. Peter Dinklage, Eiza González, Chris Messina, and Dianne Wiest will also feature in the team.

Jeannette Catsoulis of the New York Times wrote, “With his ice-creamy dialogue” and “an incredibly glossy title” the film is “a slow, brutal skipper with roots in a real-world scam. ”

Associated Press’ Jake Coyle wrote, “II aa Lot has no way of solving the most deceptive plot. But he’s strong, gripping, invisible, and Pike pulls off something he couldn’t do much else as a main character. ”

Defendant Peter Bradshaw said in his review. “Rosamund Pike is fantastic, giving us our scariest Hitchcock-blonde version of Gone Girl. ”

Leah Greenblatt of Entertainment Weekly said, “Pike, who has taken the lead in high-profile biopics such as Radioactive last year and A Private War 2018, feels dismissed by the wickedness of the role, which generously sinking those white white teeth into her favorite villainy from Gone Girl. ”
