Human settlements are possible between Mars and Jupiter by 2026, claims a Finnish scientist

Finnish scientist Dr. Pekka Janhunen has claimed that humans could be inhabited by giant orbs floating in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter by 2026. According to a report by the New York Post , Janhunen has also predicted that millions of people could live in the area within 15 years. Janhunen is a psychologist at the Finnish Metrological Center in Helsinki and even launched the plan for “mega-satellites” in a research paper published this month.

The Finnish scientist said the satellites would be around the dark planet Ceres, which is nearly 325 million miles from Earth and said “the reason for settling with artificial gravity is to allow side growth outside the abode of the Earth. “Most speculations about future human settlements revolve around the moon or Mars due to its proximity to Earth. However, Janhunen’s suggestion looks a little different beyond the usual approach.

How would it be possible?

The Finnish scientist has predicted a disc-shaped habitat with thousands of cylindrical structures, in each home there would be more than 50,000 people. Further, these pods would be attached to powerful magnets and generate artificial gravity by turning constantly. Residents, 15 years from now, according to Janhunen will be able to mine facilities from Ceres 600 miles below the city and haul them back using “space lifts”. He also wrote, “Building the materials from Ceres is cheap compared to processing them into habitats if a space elevator is used.”

“Because Ceres has low gravity and rotates relatively quickly, it is possible to make the space elevator,” he said before noting that Ceres is the largest object in the asteroid belt and it is also the best destination for additional settlements on Earth because of its nitrogen-rich atmosphere. .

This, according to the Finnish scientist, would allow humans to create more Earth-like conditions than the environment full of carbon dioxide found on Mars. However, he also acknowledged that Ceres does not have a center controlling the dangers posed by asteroids or space radiation. So recommend a cylinder mirror around the ‘mega-satellites’ to protect from the bombs.
