Huawei will update Tencent games to the App Store after negotiation

Huawei Technologies Co. Tencent games Holdings Ltd. back to their app store after the two technology companies negotiated an agreement.

“We will continue to work together to provide a better experience and service to the Tencent game community,” a spokesman for Tencent said Friday.

The games were removed after Tencent made a “major change” on December 31 regarding the way the companies work together, according to an official announcement posted on Huawei’s game app. He did not detail the change.

While most smartphones in China use Google’s Android operating system, the US company’s Play store is not available and apps are sold by mainland manufacturers and others. . Huawei was the largest smartphone maker in the country through the fourth quarter of September with 43% of shipments, according to Counterpoint Research.
