Huawei has confirmed that the new Huawei Mate X2 will make its official release before the end of this month. The Mate X2 will be launched on February 22nd and comes after the Huawei Mate X, which was launched back in 2019. Unlike the Mate X, which was launched with a side design externally, the hot poster of the Mate X2 displays the device with the inverted folding design similar to the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 and Galaxy Z Fold. The display of the Huawei Mate X2 seems to have a thinner bezel compared to the previous generation Mate X and the Mate Xs.
Huawei Mate X2 with Android 10 support seems to come out of the box with a Huawei EMUI 11 skin on top.
In terms of specs, a GSMArena report appears it may come with a diagonal screen size of 8.01 inches with a resolution of 2,480 x 2,222 pixels. Since the device is rumored to come with a built-in design like the Galaxy Z Fold 2, the Mate X2 would have a 6.45-inch external display. The screen will receive 90Hz refresh rate support for smooth display interface, provided by Samsung and BOE.
Powering the Mate X2 would be the 5nm Kirin 9000 chipset with the latest 5G technology. The handset with Android 10 support seems to come out of the box with a Huawei EMUI 11 skin on the top. The device is said to have a 4,400 mAh non-removable battery and would get 66 W wireless support at a fast charge.
