It was further reported that Elizabeth refuses to sign the royal response to the interview, and that she demands more time from her assistants to respond.
The one who sided with the royal family was the father of Duchess Merkel, Thomas, who claimed that members of the royal family were not racists, and the question posed by one of the royal family members about the color of the prince’s son’s skin was “just a stupid remark.”
“I have great respect for members of the royal family and I do not think they are racists. I think Los Angeles is racist, California is racist, but Britain is not,” Merkel said.

She then began to tell her story, claiming that relations with the media in the UK began to deteriorate after an article was published claiming that she had caused her sister-in-law, Duchess Kate Middleton, to cry and denied it. “She was the one who made me cry,” Merkel claimed, adding, “I hoped Kate would want the truth to be presented but instead I was silenced. Not only were they not defending me, the monarchy was willing to lie to protect others.”

Merkel went on to attack the royal institution, accusing the palace people of not wanting her son Archie to be crowned prince, or to receive security. “There were concerns that his skin would be dark,” she explained, but did not elaborate on who raised the concerns.
“I lost the desire to live because of the situation. I begged for help and said I was worried about my mental health, but no one helped,” she continued, claiming she had suicidal thoughts during her time at the palace.
