470 people were diagnosed in Corona in the last day in Israel – the Ministry of Health updated this morning (Thursday). This increased the number of verified patients to 830,515, of whom 12,906 were active patients. 740 people are hospitalized in the hospitals, of which 482 are seriously ill and 189 are respiratory. The Ministry of Health has updated that 75% of those hospitalized in critical condition in the corona wards are people who have not been vaccinated against the virus.

According to the data, 21 children are hospitalized, of which five are in critical condition. Also, 16 pregnant women are hospitalized, of which 9 are in critical condition.

To date, 6,157 corona patients have died in Israel. Yesterday, 45,007 tests were performed and 1.1% were found to be positive. The coefficient of infection was cut in half from last month, and stands at only 0.55.

The number of Israelis who received the first vaccine dose is 5,203,664 people, which is 55.96 percent of all Israelis. The number of recipients of the second vaccine dose is 4,655,955 people, which is 50.07 percent of the total public in the country.

In this context, Health Minister Yuli (Yoel) Edelstein said this morning: “We have crossed the 50% threshold of all Israeli citizens who are vaccinated in the second dose.” The Minister addressed all the Israelis who had been vaccinated and noted that “thanks to you, the State of Israel is defeating the corona. All that remains is to follow the instructions so that the corona does not return.”
