The U.S. has dispensed more than half a million doses of Covid-19 vaccine in the first week of the nation’s major inoculation campaign, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Sunday.

The illustrations, by Pfizer Inc. and BioNTech SE, distributed mainly to the nation’s frontline healthcare workers. In total, 556,208 shots have been administered of 2.84 million distributed to date, the group said online. The Atlanta-based CDC will monitor the sights as part of a nationwide distribution, as well as monitor their safety.
