I’m a celebrity … Get me out of here! star Jack Vidgen came out as gay when he was 19.

And the pop star claims he left his then-girlfriend completely saddened when he broke the news to her at a time that was supposed to be a romantic getaway on the beach.

Appearing on KIIS FM’s Kyle And Jackie O Show Monday, Jack said he chose to tell his ex that he was attracted to boys on their two-year anniversary.

‘I came out in person when I was 19 and then I did The Voice in 2019 and that was it when it became a bigger thing,’ Jack said.

Jack tried to recreate the strange conversation with radio guest Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, saying: ‘Isabella, so I love you with all my heart, but I have to tell you something for so long. I do not know how to say it, but I am attracted to boys. ‘

The Australian Got Talent winner remembered his ex-husband ‘shouting for a long time’ over the news.

But Jack said he didn’t know how she hadn’t seen him earlier.

During the radio conversation, Jack also revealed that he did not currently have a boyfriend and was single.

‘I won’t be going on dates, I may have to get on Tinder and stuff,’ he said, but he politely confirmed that he hasn’t been celibate.
