Horizons new Toy Day is here

It’s officially Toy Day in Crossing animals: New Horizons! Thanks to a recent update filled with holiday content, players should be able to take part in Toy Day today, December 24th, within the video game. There has been festival content before this time, but now is the time to go out and meet Jingle the reindeer and rejoice in the popular title.

When you first pick up Crossing animals: New Horizons today, Isabelle should let you know about it being Toy Day. So, Jingle the reindeer is waiting for you on your island. For me, they were grinding around the city square in front of Residential Services. They first ask you to create and deliver a Christmas wrapping paper – for which Jingle has DIY plans, which require some orders that can be shaken down from festive trees around the island.

Once you have made and donated the wrapping paper, Jingle will provide you with gifts delivered to all the residents with the help of a small magic bag. All you have to do is keep it equipped and talk to various island residents and offer them a Toy Day gift. Once you’ve given one to the villagers – only those with houses count – return to Jingle.

Turning over the magic bag once you’re done, Jingle has a special gift and another DIY recipe for you. Plus, once you’re done with Jingle, you can go around and exchange gifts with the entire village. You need wrapped paper to make sure a gift is right, well, as a gift, but Zucker made sure I had some when I first tried to exchange gifts without a wrapped gift. So far, the material I received matches the toys available in the store this month. And it looks like he’s making it for Toy Day!

Crossing animals: New Horizons currently available for the Nintendo Switch. It continues to receive regular updates, including some more December products like Toy Day today, for example. You can check out our previous full coverage of the Animal Cross franchise here.
