Heroes are still interested in signing Jeremy Lin to G League

On Friday, it was the Golden State Warriors reportedly nearing the end of a contract by former guard Jeremy Lin. The plan was for Golden State to add Lin to their G League roster by retiring and retiring. However, the plan never reached that level.

The deadline for Lin to sign was passed after the Warriors did not receive his letter of approval from FIBA. However, the Warriors could still target the 32-year-old guard.

according to Marc Stein of the New York Times, the Warriors are interested in signing Lin to a Golden State League affiliate in Santa Cruz. The Warriors “check every track” with Lin’s possible signing, every Stein.

If Lin lands in Santa Cruz, he could finally compete for a place in the Golden State circuit behind Stephen Curry. Kent Bazemore, Brad Wanamaker and Mychal Mulder are currently slated to support the most valuable two-time player.

In the past, Lin has been seen working out alongside Curry, Eric Paschall, Marquese Chriss and other members of the Warriors.

After playing nine seasons in the NBA, Lin spent 2019-20 playing for the Beijing Ducks in the China Basketball Association. Prior to joining the CBA, Lin began his career at Golden State as an unconditional free agent in 2010.

As a rookie, Lin played in 29 games with the Warriors, gaining an average of 2.6 points on a 38.9% shot from the field with 1.4 assists and 1.2 rebounds per tournament. After spending time in the Bay Area, Lin played for the New York Knicks, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, Charlotte Hornets, Brooklyn Nets, Atlanta Hawks and Toronto Raptors.

During his career, Lin gets an average of 11.6 points on 43.3% shooting from the field with 4.3 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 25.5 minutes per game.
