Boris Johnson has signed a treaty that will allow Britain to break free from the EU, saying it was ‘not the end but the beginning’.
The Prime Minister penned a Brexit trade deal on Downing Street after being blown up by an RAF plane from Brussels.
As he celebrated the historic moment, Mr Johnson said: ‘I want everyone to understand that the agreement I have finally signed up to is not the end, it is a fresh start. seo.

Earlier hours, EU leaders Ursula von der Leyen and Charles Michel had signed the treaty agreed on Christmas Eve at the end of nine months of negotiations.
Britain will finally break free from the EU at 11pm tonight after MPs voted overwhelmingly for the agreement to pass the law with 521 votes to 73.
The Lords were expected to continue the suit last night as the Government tore the agreement through Parliament in one day. The Queen was due to give royal assent at around midnight.
Speaking in the Commons yesterday, Mr Johnson said he hoped it would put an end to the ‘old, tired, tired, beautiful arguments’ that have plagued the country for years and allow for her to move on to a ‘new and brilliant future’.

MP Sir Bill Cash said: ‘Churchill and Margaret Thatcher would have been proud.’ Tory Europhiles was also involved, with all party MPs voting for the deal except senior Brexiteers Owen Paterson and Sir John Redwood, who was suspended.
Former Prime Minister Theresa May welcomed the agreement, but warned it had not done enough for the city and financial services.
Labor leader Sir Keir Starmer said that while the deal was thin with many flaws, the alternative was to leave the EU’s market union and customs union without an agreement, pushing up prices and driving businesses to wall.
But he was embarrassed when nearly a fifth of his 200 MPs rejected his order to vote for the treaty – 36 stopped while one of them voted against him.
Some MPs criticized the lack of time given to them to review the treaty, with the Commons debating less than five hours.

Former cabinet minister Tory Damian Green said: ‘Today is a benefit to the government, a benefit to the Prime Minister, but not a victory for Parliament as this level of scrutiny is very easy to recommend. ‘
Concluding the debate, Cabinet Office Minister Michael Gove said the agreement leaves the UK ‘as an EU-equivalent sovereign’.
