Southern California: Karim Abdul-Jabbar’s son arrested on suspicion of stabbing
Orange County law enforcement officers arrived at the family home earlier this week and arrested the 28-year-old man after he allegedly stabbed his neighbor following a confrontation that developed between them. He was released on bail a few hours later, and the investigation continues
Adam Abdul-Jabbar, the son of basketball legend Karim Abdul-Jabbar, was arrested this week on suspicion of stabbing his neighbor, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said this morning (Friday).

The incident began around 9:00 a.m. last Tuesday, when sheriff’s office officers were called to the coastal town of San Clemente following reports of a stabbing incident during a confrontation between two people.
Arriving at the scene, they found the victim, who was stabbed several times and evacuated to the hospital in stable condition, and the 28-year-old man, who was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon: “The suspect, who lives near the victim, was arrested without incident,” police said.
The court ruled that he could be released on bail, but the exact amount was not disclosed. A few hours after his arrest, Abdul-Jaber had already been released and returned home.
