Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump are threatening to sue for a pair of giant billboards showing the couple’s reaction to the Corona virus crisis in a distorted way.
The ads, released Thursday by the Lincoln Project, show Ivanka making a smiling gesture at the number of Corona virus deaths among New Yorkers and Americans.
The president’s daughter’s figure appears to have been taken from a selfie she tweeted in July.
Meanwhile, Jared, who appears on a separate billboard near Ivanka, is shown with the caption “[תושבי ניו יורק] Going to suffer and that’s their problem, “this quote is attributed to Kushner from an article in the Vanity Fair newspaper on September 17.
The infamous ‘Lincoln Project’ tweeted on Friday the letter it received from Trump’s family lawyer, Mark Kasowitz.
The letter threatens to sue the project unless it immediately “removes” the ads on billboards called “false, malicious and defamatory.”
“Mr. Kushner has never made such a statement, Ms. Trump has never made such a gesture, and the presentations of the Lincoln Project are an outrageous and shameful plot,” Kasowitz wrote.
“If these ads are not removed immediately, we will sue you for what would undoubtedly be huge compensatory damage,” the letter continued.
