According to The Sun, Mike’s boyfriend Mike sees the exchange of engagement rings as ‘informal communication’ and the pair are in no hurry to get married.

A source told the publication: ‘Heather and Mike are delighted. It’s so good to see a smile on her face again after a few turbulent years.

‘They are completely in love. Heather has told friends that it is the love of her life while Mike, for his part, accepts her and is completely passionate.

‘Heather is incredibly young at heart, and getting along with her friends – the 17-year-old gap is not an issue. ‘

The Sun also reports that Mike posted a ring worn on his wedding ring finger on social media earlier in the week.

MailOnline has contacted Heather’s representatives for comments.

Heather and Mike’s relationship first went public in June 2019.

The couple’s love story began when the former model began sending him flirty messages on a train journey between Kent and London.

The Mail On Sunday reported at the time that Heather had slipped her business card and also a note saying: ‘I think you’re hot. Email me. ‘

A source said: ‘Mike was sitting alone after a long, boozy lunch and Heather was sitting next to him playing a card game with his daughter Beatrice.

‘Heather kept a close eye on him and just before the trip at London Bridge ended, she handed him a series of notes when her daughter was not looking. One of them said, “I think you’re hot. Email me. ‘

Heather divorced from the Beatles legend, Paul in 2006, after four years of marriage and their daughter Beatrice Milly McCartney, now 17.

After separating from Macca, Heather sought a £ 125 million settlement.

But a High Court judge gave her just a fifth of that amount – £ 24.3 million which she said was ‘very, very happy’.

She also received payments of £ 35,000 a year, for a nanny and school expenses for their daughter Beatrice.

Mr Justice Bennett said she was a ‘less impressive witness’ who had met the excess of her wealth before meeting the old Beatle.

As a result of the split, Heather was accused of being a ‘gold digger’ who only married Sir Paul for his money – which she strongly denied, saying in a 2010 interview with the Daily Mail: ‘so far this has taken away from what I really am. ‘

Five years later she told the Daily Mail how the bitter divorce affected her.

‘I felt like I had lost everything. I spent my whole life raising money for charity and was asked to leave all charities [from PETA to Adopt a Minefield] because I became poisonous, ‘she said.

That was who I was – when I met Paul the money I earned from giving speeches went to charity, I was offered a job by Larry King in America but I couldn’t take . Everything that was removed was given to me. ‘

Despite receiving millions, Helen said she took away ‘80 percent ’of her settlement.

Heather, who lost her left leg in a 1993 police motorcycle accident, said: ‘I did not stop working with landmines in war zones, but now I pay for the I have mine scrubbers, I insert prosthetic organs, I pay for things myself.

‘I’m not interested in money. I fly easyJet, Ryanair, British Airways – always economy. I do my own hair and make-up, I buy clothes from Topshop and H&M.

‘My life is very simple. I have the VBites restaurant [a vegan restaurant in Brighton – Mills is a committed vegan], I do a lot of skiing and when I ski I stay out of campervan.

‘I don’t have security, I don’t have a famous lifestyle.

‘I’m not interested. When I was married to Paul we went on a world tour after I found Beatrice. I hated it.

‘I went on private planes and then I went through a hotel restaurant up to a private room that I couldn’t leave because of the fans. I just wanted a simple life with my daughter. ‘

Heather has been married twice: first to businessman Alfie Karmal in 1989 (they separated two years later).

Her marriage to McCartney – whom she met in 1999 and her marriage in 2002 – lasted four years before they separated and then separated in 2008.

Prior to Paul, Heather was involved three times (documentary filmmaker Chris Terrill, media executive Marcus Stapleton, and band salesman Raffaele Mincione).

After her divorce, Heather went on to date holiday producer Jamie Walker, 46, and blew out some of her holiday settlement to Sir Richard Branson’s special resort on the Caribbean island of Necker .

Paul is now married to businesswoman Nancy Shevell, 61.
