Hear HAIM’s timely holiday tune, ‘Christmas Return 2020 (What I Want for Christmas is a Vaccine)’

In true HAIM style, sisters Estee, Danielle, and Alana supported the fans with their first holiday song: a hilarious, timely rendition of the 1981 new wave classic The Waitresses, “Christmas Wrapping. ”The trio“ Christmas Wrapping 2020 (All I Want for Christmas is a Vaccine) ”gets a grip on the year again, covering everything from TikTok dance prose to DIY haircuts, and also applying a shower of Hanukkah magic.

The song’s lyrical lyrics were written by actor and playwright Tony O. Harris. Musical contributions were also made by Thundercat (bass), saxophonist Henry R. Solomon (appearing on “Summer Girl”), and longtime collaborator Buddy Ross (keyboards).

2020 has been an exciting year for HAIM. After a delay of months, amid the pandemic, the trio released their long-awaited third album, Women in Music Pt. III to gain widespread reputation, with NPR, The Keeper, Pitchfork, and Stereogum, among others, all put the title on the top 50 lists of 2020.

Fans also embraced the record – scoring the group their second No.1 record in the UK, and their third Top Ten LP in Australia. In the USA, Women in Music Pt. III he was also successful, landing at No. 13 on the Account Board 200.

Closing the year on a high note, HAIM received their first Grammy Album of the Year nomination Women in Music Pt. III. In addition, the sisters took first place in the Best Rock Performance category for “The Steps. ”

HAIM features Taylor Swift’s latest album, Evermore, on the track “No group, no crime.” The unknown news – and a companion list to Folklore – fell last week and there are additional donations from The National and Bon Iver.
