Logan Paul has revealed that he shared a piece of advice for the new UFC bantamweight champion, Aljamain Sterling. The YouTuber pro version boxer also commented on Sterling ‘s controversial win at UFC 259 and believes’ The Funkmaster’ should be proud of his achievements over Petr Yan.
The two bantamweights went back and forth in a highly competitive fight for four rounds before Yan hit his opponent with an illegal knee, while the latter was on the ground. As a result, Sterling ended up winning the UFC bantamweight title in one of the most controversial title battles in promotion history.
In a recent edition of the Impaulsive podcast, Logan Paul and his team discussed Aljamain Sterling and Petr Yan’s controversial bantamweight title fight. Logan said Sterling deserved to win the belt because Yan’s knee strike was “shamefully illegal”.
“In my opinion, take away that prize, chin. I tweet to him, ‘Walk around with that belt with your chest out. You deserve that * t.’ That strike is so illegal illegal and you know, I’ve thrown an illegal strike in my life. It wasn’t like that, that was an intent to kill, “Logan said Paul.
However, Logan Paul added that Sterling had to be a bit dramatic when he walked out of the Octagon after the fight. Paul noticed how ‘The Funkmaster’ was paving its way out of the cage and said that fighters who get out violently, will not walk like that.
“He was going to be the queen of drama. He walked out, you know, with his arm around his boy, kinda like a little limpet. Fighters who seem to knock down the fu * * out, don’t walk like that, they’ll just walk out normally. I thought it was a bit dramatic if I’m being honest, “said Paul.
Logan Paul currently plans to fight Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match later this year. The two were ready to meet in February this year, but the fight was postponed to a later date.
