In preparation for International Women’s Month, today (Tuesday) the Harel Insurance and Finance Group signed an agreement to sponsor the Women’s Basketball Premier League until the end of the next 2021/2022 game season. This year, more than ever, it is very important to emphasize and encourage the advancement of women in the various sports and in the basketball industry, the most popular sport in women’s sports in Israel.
The recently signed agreement is a significant milestone for the Women’s Basketball Premier League, the most senior women’s sports league in Israel, consisting of ten teams, including about 100 players from all over the country. Under the agreement, the Harel Insurance and Finance Group will sponsor the league and its activities. Also, as part of the collaboration, Harel will hold activities with the league director ahead of and during International Women’s Month.
Over the years, as a worldview and as part of Harel’s activities in the field of corporate responsibility, the Harel Insurance and Finance Group works to empower and promote women in society through a common public social goal. In addition this year, she took an active part in various initiatives as part of the Day Against Violence Against Women Day which took place last November.
