After coaching her for three years, Hapoel Jerusalem finally said goodbye to Oded Katash, and today (Thursday) introduced its new coach – Dainius Adumatis. The Lithuanian coach signed until the end of the season, with an option for another one.
At a special press conference, Adumatis was interviewed for the first time as the Reds coach: “I am very happy to be here. It is a great honor for me to be the coach of Hapoel Jerusalem. I have coached against the team in the past, and I know what a special atmosphere this hall has. Game after game, “Adomitis said of his goal, and continued,” I saw some of the team’s games and I liked what I saw. The team has a lot of talent. “
On his arrival in Israel, he said: “From what I see so far, everyone wants to help me, and I love everything I see around me. It’s fun to return to Israel. The people here are nice. I’m glad I’m here.”
Adomitis has coached Ritas Vilna for the past two seasons. He previously coached the Lithuanian national team for three years. He started his coaching career in 2009, and Hapoel Jerusalem is the second team he coaches outside his homeland, having coached in Poland between 2010-2012.
