Yaakov Buzaglo is already less involved as Maor’s agent, but still, the contact’s father fails to remain indifferent to the ongoing saga of Hapoel Tel Aviv’s conduct towards the player. Today (Friday), Yaakov posted a particularly poignant post on his Facebook page, in which he expressed his anger over the ongoing saga in front of the Nisnov family and the Reds management.
“I have been in the world of football for 50 years and I thought I had seen it all, but last night was one of the hardest days I have ever had in football,” wrote Yaakov Buzaglo. Legitimate not to want a player, it happened and more will happen in football but, throwing an injured player is something special. You need special people for this and not the good kind.
“I knew football was a cruel profession and of course I know there are a lot of difficult and challenging moments but in my life I never thought there were so many bad people in football. When they want you, they will spread a red carpet on you, when they do not want you, they will throw you to the dogs. Is this the educational message we want to convey? Every mom, every dad and every kid in football, has to do a lot of thinking whether to choose this profession.
“Anyone who knows the profession knows that even in the youth departments you go through many humiliations and no one guarantees you to become a professional (one in every 1000 becomes a professional). “Everyone is sure that if you are talented and persistent and an investor, you will succeed, but in football it is really not the case that if an influential person decides to eliminate you, you will be eliminated.”
