The league director imposed a fine of NIS 30,000 on the Hapoel Haifa team, some of whose players, some of whom are not yet vaccinated with the second vaccine, violated isolation at the initiative of the team and came to visit a school on Purim.
“The players risked their health and the continued existence of the league, in complete violation of the instructions of the Ministry of Health and the guidelines of the league director,” the league director said.
Chairman of the League Samuel Frenkel: “So far the Winner Basket League has proven that maintaining guidelines ensures its continued existence and no team should break the guidelines. I expect all teams to continue as they have done so far as we are so close to our most important goal, returning the crowd to the halls.”
