Barcelona is currently opening its second round of the Spanish league, when it faces Elche away with the aim of putting together a fourth consecutive league victory for the first time in almost a year, and narrowing the gap from the top. The expelled Leo Messi was not included in the male squad for the red card he received in the Super Cup final. The game, like all Spanish league games, is broadcast on Channel ONE for HOT subscribers, yes subscribers, Cellcom TV and Partner TV.

The Catalans have not played at Camp Nou yet in 2021, and are in the midst of a long series of away games in the various settings, with the league being the fourth away game in a row. In all the previous three, against Huesca, Athletic Bilbao and Grande, Ronald Koeman’s team has managed to come out with three points.

Barça come into this game after playing 120 minutes in their last three games – twice in the Super Cup against Sociedad and Athletic Bilbao, and once again in the cup against the modest third-division Cornish, which almost ousted the Blaugrana. Koeman’s team is obviously tired, but will have to overcome it to overcome the humble opponent who is desperate for points.

Elche itself has not won a league game since October 23, 1: 2 over Valencia. Its streak stands at no less than 12 games without a win. Earlier this season the hosts came to the Camp Nou for a game in the Gamper Cup against Barça, so it ended in a small 0: 1 of the Catalans. On the last visit of the Spanish runner-up to the field of Elche, Messi and Neymar were passionate about pairing in a game that ended in 0: 6.
