The professional committee of the Judges’ Association has decided to suspend Judge Eli Hachmon from judging in the coming round. As reported on the sports channel, Hakmon, who served as the video referee in the game between Hapoel B’Shlosha and Hapoel Tel Aviv, erred when he decided to approve the decision of assistant referee Nati Dotan to differ in a legal goal scored by B’Shlosha.
Hakmon has not been included at all for the next round, not even as a video judge or a fourth judge. The official decisions of the committee will be issued after the next cycle. “It does not help us and such a decision could ruin our chances of finishing in the playoffs,” said Hapoel B’Shlosha.
In the underground battle between Hapoel Tel Aviv and Bnei Sakhnin, Israel’s senior referee Uriel Greenfeld was placed, along with the regular team that goes out with him to games in Europe. Gal Leibowitz will manage the game between Maccabi Petah Tikva and Hapoel B’Shlosha.
