Habib: “Show me something spectacular and maybe I’ll come back”

Beginning of an article

The decision, Habib’s version: Almost three months after he decided to retire from the UFC, Habib Normgomedov met with President Dana White and shared with him his final decision and that is – that there is no decision. Tonight (Saturday), during the event in Abu Dhabi, the president shared a conversation the two had, a week before the battle between Conor McGregor and Dustin Fourier.

White said Habib has not yet returned from the retirement announcement but the Dagestani general sent a message to claimants to the crown: “Show me something spectacular and maybe I will return.” The Dagestani of course meant McGregor and Fourier to fight in the main battle next week. In addition, he also directed things to Dan Hooker and Michael Chandler who will compete that evening. He added that Charles Oliveira, who recently defeated Tony Ferguson, is an interesting option.

Meaning of things: In terms of the UFC, Habib still holds a lightweight belt, so the upcoming fight between McGregor and Fourier will not be for the world title.
