Earlier this week, a report from a Taiwanese site Daily economic news proposed a March 16 event, with the first rumor raised and surrounded by several other sites. Daily economic news they called unproven and unsubstantiated content from LeaksApplePro and FrontTron Twitter accounts, and none have a history other than to give accurate details about Apple’s plans.

The March 16 deadline was nothing more than a guide based on past Apple events, but it was still drawing traction. In tweet responds MacRumors Editor Joe Rossignol ‘s statement on a possible March incident, Gurman confirmed that the March 16 date is incorrect.

In a separate tweet, he said “there is no launch on the 16th,” which makes it possible to hold an event in March on a different date.

Apple has a number of products in the works scheduled for the first half of 2021, including an updated iMac, new iPad Pro models, an updated mini-iPad, a new low-cost AirPod, next AirPods Pro -developed, and the AirPods 3, plus we are still waiting for the first iteration of the AirTags.

Some of these results could be introduced at a spring event, but no date has been known for that event yet. Apple holds events in March for most years, but that’s not certain. Past spring events were held on March 9 (2015), March 21 (2016), March 27 (2018), and March 25 (2019), with no events taking place in March 2017 or March 2020.
