February 26 (UPI) – Eddie Murphy spoke about his famous basketball game against the late Prince during his appearance on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.
Eddie Murphy commented on The Prince and Thursday’s basketball game as Fallon sought the comedian’s views on other myths.
The basketball game also featured Murphy’s late brother Charlie Murphy and was famous for his design. Chappelle Exhibition. Eddie Murphy confirmed that the match was held after the Prince challenged the actor and his crew and commented on how he had not played properly dressed.
“We were wearing club clothes and The Prince wore those clothes that were in the ‘Kiss’ video, where he wore the short shirt and the leather jacket with the buttons, “said Eddie Murphy.
“It was the Prince and a little dude called Micki Free who would hang out. They would wear the Prince’s clothes so my brother was like, ‘Alright it’s going to be the shirts of the face of blouses. ‘And they came together and the blouses won [expletive] out of us, “he continued.
Eddie Murphy will reappear Coming 2 America with Arsenio Hall, a series for their 1988 comedy Coming to America. The film hits Amazon Prime Video on March 5th. Jermaine Fowler, Leslie Jones, Kiki Layne, Wesley Snipes, James Earl Jones, Shari Headley, John Amos and Tracey Morgan will also star.
“We never thought about making a sequel to the film. We thought it was over because the story ended with the going off, it looked like they were going to lived happily ever after and that was the end of the story, “Murphy told the sequel.
“And then the film became a cult movie you know. Of all the movies that I made, Coming to America the one who worked the way he was into the culture in those different ways, “he continued.
