Former world golfer Greg Norman is back in hospital as he continues his recovery from a suspected coronavirus.

The 65-year-old spent Christmas Day in hospital, having found himself lonely on his return to Australia after competing in the Orlando PNC Championship.

The two-time Open champion was initially released from the hospital to lead to loneliness at home, while awaiting the results of his Covid-19 tests, but was forced to back since then.

“I hope this is my last update to this COVID saga … back in hospital after a great result,” said Norman.

“The road to full recovery. We hope to be out later today.”

Norman showed that despite being in good health and suffering from high pain, the virus was “hideous” “like nothing I’ve ever seen before. “

“Muscle and joint pain on another level. Headaches that feel like a chisel going through your head scratching small pieces of it every time, fever, muscles that just didn’t want to work,” Norman said .

“Then my taste failed, where beer tastes bad and wine is the same thing … sometimes struggling with memory of names and things.”

Nicknamed ‘The Great White Shark’, Norman won the Open in 1986 and 1993, spending over 300 weeks at the top of the world golf rankings.

The Australian was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2001.

“Once again thank you all for your concerns of love and support and try to stay safe, stay healthy and be wise,” said Norman.

“And we’ll put this 2020 in our rearview mirrors and look to 2021 and beyond where we can get back to life no matter what the new norm. God bless you all.”
