“Grant believes he will contribute more as a coach than a manager”

Beginning of an article

Is Abraham Grant on his way back to English football? Well, according to the media in the kingdom, this is not so far-fetched. Tonight (Tuesday), the well-known and prestigious “Sky Sports” also joined reports that the Israeli coach is in the sights of Roman Abramovich and Chelsea.

The Blues, as is well known, have won only once in their last six games and dropped to ninth place in the table – precisely after a good season opener and in the shadow of the massive buying summer. As a result, Sky reports, Abramovich believes Grant can help Lampard’s coaching staff – but due to the fact that the Israeli himself believes his abilities lie in being a coach, not a professional manager, his return may be short-lived.

Over the past weekend, Grant tried to help Lampard, giving him some advice on social media. “I would tell Frank and the other people in the club to be patient,” said the Israeli. “He must not get too excited when things go well. When things go less well he must not lose his mind. You have to think clearly and find the solutions.”

In recent years Grant has managed to travel the world, working in a variety of exotic destinations and since January 2018 he has been serving as a technical consultant for North East United from the Indian League. Prior to that, he coached the Ghana national team for two and a half years. The Israeli also stood on the lines of the Belgrade partisan for five months.
