Google Maps will allow new users to draw, rename roads

Google Tech giant is finally updating their map editing knowledge to allow users to add needed roads and redesign, rename or delete the wrong ones.

According to a Google blog post, the new experience called “drawing” will be similar to using the line tool in Microsoft Paint. This new updated device will be released in the coming months in more than 80 countries.

At the moment, if a user tries to add a desired road, they can only drop a pin where the road should be and type in the name of the road to get the information. submit that to Google. The goal of the new tool is to make it easier not only to add needed roads but also to make corrections such as repairing or directing a road name.

Obviously Google will continue to monitor the corrections to make sure they are correct. After applying a change, Google will display a screen warning that it does not want a bike path to be marked as a road, or for someone to make a road that is intended to injure people. That same screen also states that it will take the company about seven days to review the application.

As per the blog post, Google Maps gets a new feature called ” photo updates ”, which allows users to share small details about a location without leaving a full review. Within the app, it would be possible to add location images as well as recent images with text clips entered by others.
