Google Maps is great – but when it ‘s not. Missing roads, incorrect street names, closed bridges and more can hinder your travel. And by “restrict your travel,” I mean throw yourself into a blind prey as you squeeze the gas as you try to figure out where the hell you need to go when Maps takes you astray. But those annoying mistakes seem to be getting smaller and far from thanks to a new feature with large crowds.

“Replace roads that need to be drawn by drawing lines, rename roads quickly, change the road guidance, and redesign or eliminate wrong roads. You can even let go we know a road is closed with details like dates, reasons and instructions, ”Google said write in a blog post on Thursday.
To edit, go to Maps in your browser and click the record button in the top left corner and scroll down to “Edit Map. ”From there, you’ll be able to pull into a desired road or make other edits. Of course, left unexplored this feature would be a real nightmare that will quickly bring an impossible catastrophe to Maps. Therefore, before making any changes, Google will review user-suggested edits or additions before applying them to Maps.

The design feature was not yet available when we tried to use it (you can suggest edits already, but the draw is not there yet), but GOogle says it will be available in 80 countries within a few months.
As well as adding the design feature, Google has also added the ability for people to add “image updates” to the businesses or other places that are separate from reviews. So if, for example, you wanted to tell others that the car park at the end of a local route is only big enough for two cars, you could take a picture and post it to Maps as a simple header. To access this feature, simply click on a location and click on the Updates tab, where you will get the option to upload an image.
Navigation apps like Google Maps, Apple Maps, and Waze (which is also owned by Google) are still one of the most useful types of apps, providing substantial value – while at the same time building up our data to solidify the physical analysis that is rooted in today ‘s lives. But even if navigating the privacy effect would feel like turning your fist in a black-and-white room, with these new updates, it should at least be sailing on the next road trip you have a little less to lose or miss.
