BENGALURU: Google Cloud named her MD India Karan Bajwa as their new leader for Asia-Pacific. Bajwa will manage all regional revenue and work-to-market for Google Cloud, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Workspace, effective Tuesday, the company said.
Bajwa replaces Rick Harshman, who is leaving the organization. Bajwa is currently based in Gurgaon, India, but will move to Singapore this year. He will continue to lead Google Cloud in India until a new chief executive for the business is hired. He reports to Rob Enslin, president of sales for Google Cloud.
“Since Karan joined us in March 2020, Google Cloud in India has grown from strength to strength. It has facilitated the digital transformation journeys of many major Indian organizations across industries and has successfully expanded our partner community, ”said Enslin.
