Godzilla vs Kong: Who won when the two famous movie monsters fought last time?

Godzilla vs Kong, the fourth film in the MonsterVerse, is almost upon us, and the fans have chosen their sides. The early comments are very optimistic and we can’t wait to see who emerges in this trench of titans.

The reason behind the conflict has not yet been made clear except that Godzilla has been deceived by something and is destroying everyone and everything in its path. And only Kong stands in his way. Whatever the reason, we know what happened between the two titans is going to be amazing.

But this is not the first time these two creatures have fought on the big screen. That first happened in the 1962 movie King Kong vs. Godzilla.

A Japanese film “kaiju” (basically giant monsters), directed by Ishirō Honda, the former co-creator of the Godzilla franchise.

Mr Tako, head of Pacific Pharmaceuticals, was at the film, which heard about a giant monster in the Isle of Faro. Thinking of filming that monster to boost the rating of his TV show, he immediately sends two men to bring back the monster. They do this when they find out that they can be put to sleep immediately if they get local lizard juice.

Meanwhile, an American submarine named the Seahawk is caught in an iceberg. But that iceberg, you overcame it, is falling apart and revealing Godzilla. The stage is set for the big battle.

Godzilla arrives in Japan and does what he does best: ruining everything in sight. Kong confronts Godzilla by throwing huge rocks at him. But Godzilla responds with the atomic breath, and Kong escapes back.

Later, Kong is released in front of Godzilla and the two engage in the final battle. Godzilla looks like he has a high arm, and Kong is almost killed. A lightning bolt hits Kong and he reacts (strange things happened in monster movies back then). He goes on to engage in a battle with Godzilla again and they start fighting in the Minch. Only Kong appears to the surface. Did Godzilla survive? We are not told.

Godzilla vs Kong released in India on March 24th.
