Glossy Pokémon and Shield toxtricity circulation event kicks off Feb. 19 (North America)

Listen up, American and Canadian Pokémon trains – if you play Sword and Shield Pokémon on the Nintendo Switch, it looks like you will soon be able to claim Shiny Toxtricity for free in your copy of the game.

Serebii.net reports that signs across stores in the U.S. and Canada are appearing, indicating that this event will begin on February 19th. It ties in with the release of the new Trading Card Game set, Shining Fates.

This pocket monster is available at GameStop in the US (via serial code obtained using the Pokémon Pass app) and at EB Games in Canada (also distributed by serial code).

Pokémon toxtricity is a type of electric poison that first appeared in Generation VIII. Will you accept this offer? Still playing Sword and Shield? Leave a comment below.
