Hapoel Gilboa / Galil took a big step tonight (Wednesday) towards securing a ticket to the Balkan League Final Four, after defeating TFT Skopje 68:94 in Gan Ner. With that, Avishai Gordon’s team went up to a 0: 2 balance in House V. The Bulgarian Baroque is ranked second in a 1-1 draw, while TFT from northern Macedonia last with two losses from two games, with the first two at home advancing to the semi-finals.

Gilboa controlled the game from the beginning until the last buzzer. She finished the first quarter with a 17-point lead (14:31) and did not look back. Yotam Hanochi led the scenes with 17 points, Amit Gershon provided 13 and Jahiba Floyd contributed 12. Yiftach Ziv was content with only 8 points, but managed the game with a level hand and distributed 8 assists.

After beating Broa two days ago and now defeating Skopje, Gilboa / Galil will play two away games against the same teams in early April – and will try to secure their place in the Balkans’ Final Four. One win in these two games will be enough for the Reds to get the coveted ticket.
